Volunteer with the Athens Biennale

The Athens Biennale is looking for volunteers who will contribute to the realisation of the 3rd Athens Biennale 2011 MONODROME.

This year's Biennale takes place in buildings-landmarks that bear symbolisms concerning the history of Athens. The Diplareios School at the Theatre Square (Plateia Theatrou) and the museums at the Eleftherias Park, all spaces of intense historical memory, create the setting in which the narration of MONODROME unfolds. We want you to become part of this narration!

We wish to offer you the opportunity to develop your interests and know-how through responsibilities that you will undertake in relation to the needs of an international exhibition of contemporary art and specifically, to the particular identity of MONODROME. You will collaborate with the curators and artists of the exhibition, communicate and exchange opinions with art professionals, and contribute to the smooth operation of the 3rd Athens Biennale 2011 MONODROME.

We seek talented individuals that combine technical knowledge, creativity, imaginative flair and most of all, team spirit, to facilitate the audience while visiting MONODROME. Beyond maintaining the exhibition, the volunteers are involved in the events (educational programmes, guided tours, talks, performances, live events) and communication (website, social media, documentation, monodrome channel) of MONODROME throughout its duration.
