Volunteer with the Athens Biennale

The Athens Biennale is looking for volunteers in view of the 2nd Athens Biennale 2009 HEAVEN exhibition and events. Volunteering with the Athens Biennale is an excellent opportunity to live through a fascinating experience, contributing to the realisation of the country’s largest festival of contemporary art.

Volunteer positions are available for all the stages of the exhibition, from installation and preparations for the opening, to maintenance and support to the events and programmes, until its closing and de-installation.

Volunteers participate in a rotating programme that involves:

  • The installation of the exhibition and configuration of the exhibition space
  • Assisting the artists in the creation and installation of their works
  • The supervision of the exhibition
  • The educational programme
  • The guided tours
  • Support in the kiosks, shops and ticket office at the exhibition venue
  • The parallel events (concerts, performances, screenings etc.)
  • The closing and de-installation of the exhibition
